본 연구는 한국판 문제성 음란물 척도를 타당화하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 인터넷의 발전으로 인해 포르노의 사용이 사회적으로 광범위하게 확산하였음에도 불구하고 이에 관한 체계적인 연구가 부족한 실정이다. 본 연구는 한국판 문제성 음란물 척도를 타당화하기 위해 Kor와 그 동료들(2014)이 제작한 문제성 음란물 사용 척도(PPUS)를 번안하고 전문가의 내용 타당도 검증을 시행하였다. 연구 참가자 241명을 대상으로 탐색적 요인분석을 시행한 결과 ‘과도한 사용과 통제의 어려움’, ‘적응과 기능손상’, ‘부정적 정서 회피를 위한 사용’ 12문항을 확정하였다. 이후 구성 타당도와 수렴 및 변별 타당도 검증을 위해 연구 참가자 299명을 대상으로 확인적 요인분석과 상관분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 탐색적 요인분석을 통해 나타난 3요인 구조가 적합함을 확인하였다. 수렴 및 변별 타당도 분석을 위해 과잉 성 행동, 자아존중감, 성적 대상화 가해 척도, 정신적 웰빙과 한국판 문제성 음란물 사용 척도의 상관분석을 실시하였다. 또한, 남성 규범과의 관련성을 알아보기 위해 다차원적 남성 규범 순응 척도와의 상관분석을 실시하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 의의, 제한점 및 추후 연구에 대한 제언 등을 논의하였다.
This study aimed to validate the Korean version of the Problematic Pornography Use Scale. We adapted the scale developed by Kor and his colleagues (2014), and conducted expert content validation. A sample of 241 participants underwent exploratory factor analysis, which yielded three factors: ‘Excessive Use and Difficulty in Control,’ ‘Adaptation and Functional Impairment,’ and ‘Emotion Avoidance.’ Subsequently, confirmatory factor analysis and correlational analyses were performed with a separate cohort of 299 participants, affirming the three-factor structure and establishing the scale’s construct validity, as well as its convergent and discriminant validity. The scale’s validity was further assessed through its correlations with excessive sexual behaviors, self-esteem, sexual objectification perpetration, and psychological well-being. Finally, we provided suggestions and highlighted areas for future research.
