기록물 기술을 위한 MARC AMC에 관한 연구

본 연구의 목적은 현재 기록물과 필사본의 기술을 위해 북미의 기록관 및 기록보존소, OCLC·RLIN·WLN 등의 국가네트워크, 그리고 미국의회도서관의 필사본 장서종합목록인 NUCMC 등에서 사용되고 있는 MARC AMC에 대한 연구를 통하여 기록물기술을 위한 자동화목록에 관한 올바른 이해를 돕고, 앞으로 우리의 KORMARC AMC 제정의 필요성과 방향을 위한 토대를 마련하고자 한 것이다. 이를 위하여 먼저 기록물과 기록물기술의 특성에 대해 살펴보고, MARC AMC의 제정배경 및 특징에 대해 조사하였다. 그리고 USMARC AMC의 구조와 데이터요소들을 분석해 보고 우리의 기록물기술을 위한 KORMARC AMC 제정의 필요성과 방향을 제시하였다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate MARC AMC that is using currently in archives and record repositories, national networks as OCLC·RLIN·WLN·etc., and the NUCMC of Library of Congress. In this study, therefore, the characteristics of archives and archival description and the establishment backgrounds and peculiarities of MARC AMC are examined as the backgrounds. Then the structure and data elements of USMARC AMC are analyzed. And the needs and directions of KORMARC AMC are presented.
