The purpose of this study is to show the reading aloud has good influence on students from 3rd to 5th grade to improve their reading attitude and self-esteem. For performing the study, the experiment group consists of children of 10 groups in 10 elementary schools from 7 regions, while the control group is made up the class of certain grade in participation school. Students in experimental groups are respectively read 5 books assigned from each group on total 13 times-for 60 minutes once a week. For measuring the reading attitude and self-esteem of students, we use modified questionnaires. The aim of this study is to analyze the functional ego state of public librarians who should take a role of an information intermediary for children and young adults through the ego-gram which is suggested in transactional analysis theory and review their limit and feasibility as instructors. As a result of analysis, the whole ego state type of public librarians is founded to be N-type(Nightingale type) like NP-AC-A-CP-FC. The characteristics of this type can be interpreted as ‘to show the tendency of self-denial in spite of their dedication.’ So, the public librarians have to do their best to develop A(Adult), CP(Critical Parent) and FC(Free Child) ego state to take the requirements and behaviors of children and young adults in nurturing attitudes and enhance their autonomy and creativity through active mutual interaction. Improving A and FC is also very helpful to decrease their stress and raise their job satisfaction.

This study developed a program suitable for operating an infinite creative space within the public library, and analyzed the effect of promoting participants’ creativity through a trial run of the program. To do this, we operated a “picture book making activities” program in the infinite creative space of J library located in Chungbuk. This program was performed for 18 elementary students in grades 3-6. Torrance TTCT (The Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking) tools were used in this study to measure the overall creativity. As a result, first, awareness of the importance and interest in environmental science was improved through the whole program process. Second, participants’ problem-solving abilities improved during the program by having to derive a solution for a given problem through brainstorming. Third, storytelling ability improved after the story-creating elements of the program. Fourth, each participants’ creativity was improved through creative activities. Fifth, by publishing the results of creative activities of participants as books, the self-esteem of participating children improved as well.

How the information literacy education impact on the information activities is an additional research question. To achieve these objectives, data were collected through the 227 respondents of over 50-years-old adults in Korea and analysed using AMOS for the structural equation modeling. In this study, information literacy education was measured by it’s usefulness aspects, and information activities were measured by it’s convenience aspects. The results showed that the information literacy education influences positively both in life satisfaction and in information activities.
The purpose of this study was to identify factors on the user's intention of using mobile E-book based on TAM(Technology Acceptance Model). System quality(accessibility and convenience), information quality, and innovation as a user characteristics were chosen as the independent variable of this study, perceived easy of use and perceived usefulness were selected as potential variable, and user's use intention was selected as dependent variable. The survey was conducted by 170 high school students and structural equation modeling was used to analyze the relationships between factors. The results showed that information quality and the user's innovation have a positive impact on both perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use while the other system factors did not affect perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use for mobile E-book. Finally, the perceived usefulness was found to have a positive impact on the user's intention to use mobile E-book.

This study was conducted in Tateyama, Japan with on-site observation conducted by Professor Aizawa, who organized this locality movement. This research was focused on listening to people's explanations, observations and studying the related documentation. First of all, the locality of Tateyama City was formed by utilizing the historic records of the area. Through Namo Amitabha which was carved on the four-sided stone pagoda, the city formed the locality as the peaceful city. “The gift of the Sea” painted by Shigeru Aoki in this city contributed to the identity of this locality known as the ‘city of art which the painter loved’. The reconstruction of localities through the documentation of the relics are as follows. Satomi Castle, which was discovered to be the setting of the famous fictional saga Satomi and the Eight “Dogs”[里見 八犬伝]. The excavation and research of the ruins of forgotten World War II, is another example of reconstruction at this locality. This locality is seen as ‘the city of peace’ and was reconstructed through a positive and future oriented attitude. It is noticeable that the locality of Tateyama city was newly formed or reconstructed using local records and documentation relics in the area.

This study proposes a methodology for using facet analysis in ontology modeling and investigates how facet analysis could be utilized in ontology design processes. We applied facet analysis methods developed by Ranganathan and CRG (Classification Research Group) to modeling Smartphone ontology. Utilizing the guiding principles of Ranganathan and CRG, main facets, such as Type, Spec, Function, Operation, Product, Person, Agent, Space and Time, are derived for Smartphone ontology. It is hoped that the methods and procedures employed in identifying and categorizing facets and ontology in this study will provide insights into designing future ontologies.
The disabled suffer great difficulties from public library access and data use due to reasons such as disabilities, mobility limitations, and lack of alternative materials and services. This paper provides a brief overview of bibliographic relationships, a analysis of bibliographic relationships' characteristics of 2,940 bibliographic records on the Five Classics and Four Books taken from Korean National Bibliography, and a methodology for applying the FRBR model based on analysis of the samples. As results of analysis, the work type ranked high particularly in the commentary, translation with notes, and translation on the original works etc. I suggested adopting conception of supper works, that is, family of works and using uniform title as a connective device between the works, that is, an authorized access point of RDA to apply FRBR model of the Five Classics and Four Books. Also I exemplified the description of uniform title in 630 field as subject added entry.

In the library domain, the metadata concerning the journal and the articles published in the respective journal are the important attributes that can be used to search academic related information. In order to conduct this study, the American JATS standard and the XML DTDs of journal articles commonly used by well-known publishers were used. By comparing JATS standard to XML DTDs used by Elsevier and Springer, we were able to extract a total of 50 metadata elements(10 about the journals, 7 about the issues, 22 about the articles, and 11 about the authors). Additionally, we identified a total of 7 mandatory elements, 9 applicable mandatory elements, and 34 optional metadata elements. The implication of this study is that we selected metadata elements using XML DTDs that are used in the real world.
