This study investigates and classifies 61 pieces of hereditary Sasojeol versions in possession of 8 libraries in Korea and 3 libraries in the US and Japan and compares them with one another with the following results. Firstly, as a result of investigation of 61 pieces of Sasojeol, it was found out that the hereditary versions are classified into 5 kinds including Cheongjangkwan Sasojeol, Sashojyeol of Korean version, Hyunto Sasojeol and Sasojeoljijeol. The detailed investigation proves that Sasojeol and Sasojeonjijeol are imparted to the present most often, that Sashojyeol of Korean version is the traslated from printed version of Sasojeol, that Hyunto Sasojeol is the Korean editings of printed version of Sasojeonl, and the Sasojeoljijeol is the ummarized version of Cheongjangkwan Sasojeol. Secondly, the comparison of Cheongjangkwan Sasojeol possessed by major libraries proves that the version in National Library of Korea's and Jangseogak's possession are similar to each other by and large and that the comparison of Sasojeol possessed by each institution proves that the version in Kyonggi University's possession copied the former generally fine. Thirdly, the comparison of Sasojeoljijeol and Cheongjangkwan Sasojeol proves that Sasojeonjijeol is the summarized version of redrafted Cheongjangkwan Sasojeol and traces of 22 sentences being added to.
This study describes the Bottom-up method for implementation of an ontology system from the RDB. The STNet, a structured terminology glossary based on RDB, was served as a test bed for converting to RDF ontology, for generating the inference rules, and for evaluating the results of the semantic search. We have used protege editor of the ontology developing tool to design ontologies with test data. We also tested the designed ontology with the Inference Engine (Pellet) of protege editor. The generated reference rules were tested by TBox and SPARQL queries through STNet ontology. The results of test show that the generated reference rules were verified as true and STNet ontology were also evaluated to be useful for searching the complex combination of semantic relation.
The purpose of this study is to develop a model of the TOC(Table of Contents)-based research record system and to comparatively analyze its usability, in order to comprehensively and systematically manage and practically use the various research records generated from the entire process of research and development. For this purpose, the templates for technical recording and the components of each item were proposed to enable technical recording based on TOC, and structured contents were designed to organically connect between these TOC technical records and existing research records. Also, a database logical schema was developed to design a database, and a test collection was constructed on the basis of research records and TOC technical records. Finally, the model of research record system was constructed by designing TOC record search system and user interface including integrated search system. Based on this model, the usability assessment was performed by comparing the existing distributed general systems with the TOC-based research record system. As a result of the comparative analysis of these two systems, the TOC-based research record system showed generally higher utilization of research records than the general systems.

The rapid growth of information technologies and data networks has increased the volume of data generated from scholarly research and the possibilities of re-using and sharing such data. However, there is a serious problem of management and sharing of research data due to the lack of facilitating policies and supporting infrastructure. In particular, few data repositories exist that support systematic collection and sharing of research data in the humanities. In this regard, the Korea Research Memory (KRM) established by the Korea Research Foundation is a rare exception. The purpose of this research is to present specific processes and strategies that can facilitate the data collection, reuse and preservation through the KRM using task analysis and source document gathering as main focal points. In addition, in order for the effective collection and sharing of research data, the following recommendations are proposed: 1) the need for the adoption of data management plan related policies that govern the collection and sharing of research data generated from publicly funded research projects, 2) the need for training and support services for individual researchers and research institutes, 3) the need for training data specialists, and 4) the citation scheme and structure designed for research data.

This study examined changes in citation index scores and rankings of thirty-five chemistry faculty members at Seoul National University using different co-authorship credit allocation models. Using 1,436 Web of Science papers published between 2007 and 2013, we applied the inflated, fractional, harmonic, network-based allocation, and harmonic+ models to calculate faculty’s h-, R-, and normalization of h- and R- index scores and rankings. The harmonic+ model, which is based on our belief that contribution of primary authors should be the same regardless of collaboration, is designed to minimize the penalty for research collaboration imposed by harmonic and NBA models by boosting the contribution of collaborating primary authors to be on the equal footing with single authors. Although citation rankings by different models are correlated with each other within the same type of citation indicator, rankings of many faculty members changed across models, suggesting the importance of an accurate and relevant authorship credit allocation model in the citation assessment of researchers. The study also found that authorship patterns in conjunction with citation counts are important factors for robust authorship models such as harmonic and NBA, and harmonic+ model may be beneficial for collaborating primary authors. Future research that reexamines the models with updated empirical data would provide further insights into the robustness of the models.
The objective of this study is to illustrate the procedures, processes, and considerations of site selection for the construction plan of a new main library in a metropolitan city. The case to be discussed in this paper is the new library of Busan. As a regional main library supported by the law, the new main library can serve as a representative public library for the citizen, which will serve as a community center, an intellectual archive, and the policy hub for the regional information services. In this paper, the site selection strategy and specific evaluation methods for the new Busan central metropolitan library have been discussed. It also strived to illustrate elements to be considered for the planning of a regional central library as other cities and provinces may refer to for their own regional central library planning.
This study aims at developing the measurement tool of reading motivation using self-determination theory (SDT). SDT is not simply divided into the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. SDT resides along a continuum, with amotivation, external regulation, introjected regulation, identified regulation, integrated regulation, intrinsic motivation. SDT addresses the process of internalization of various extrinsic motives. This study analyzed motivation factor of the measurement tool such as MRQ (motivations for reading questionnaire), MRP (motivation to read profile) ERAS (elementary reading attitude survey, RSCS (reading self-concept scale). The study re-classified analysis results based on SDT. Ultimately, this study was proposed measurement tool of reading motivation using SDT has 6 area, 30 items.
This study examined the application of the FRBR model to newspapers and news articles. In order to meet the purpose that was mentioned above, we analyzed data items based on the level of newspapers and articles and discussed how the FRBR model may be applied. In terms of the level of a newspaper, each of newspapers, morning/evening paper, issue and edition are regarded as an individual work, and the relationship among them are considered to be the ‘whole-part relationship’. Each article on the level of article basis was considered to be a work and was in a relationship of ‘whole-part relationship’ with the edition of each level of newspapers. Newspaper articles can be represented as texts, photographs, graphics, and tables, etc., and regarded as an individual work. Each work can be a part of the article on a newspaper or can be an independent article itself. Moreover, a uniform heading of each boxed article and running story is included in the work of each article and is forming a ‘whole-part relationship’. Because of the changes of the newspaper name, the uniform title of each name regarded as a single binding. It is called the superwork and it is forming ‘whole-part relationship’ with each name.
This study aims to look at overall adolescents' perceptions of library and reveal the relevance of search engine sources and library sources compared each elements of them and find out any related issues of perceptions of library and information use of them. The data for this study were collected through survey and analyzed descriptive statistics and correlation analysis using the data. The result shows the population users preferred search engine over library as their information search tool, and they used library as primarily a source of information for printed materials such as books and most of them don't use the library often. Also the result shows the population users tend to select information when it is easy to get and fast to access. Correlation analysis such as χ² and Spearman were implemented and the result of the correlation shows that many factors of this study covered-such as comparison of information sources- have significant differences each other.

This study aimed to investigate data management practices of university researchers in Korea, as well as their experiences and perceptions of data sharing and reuse. For this purpose, it performed semi-structured interviews of 13 researchers who agreed to participate in interviews followed by a survey conducted prior to this study. The interview participants created or collected research data with various types and formats, and only a few conducted data documentation while they recognized its significance. The majority of participants perceived the period that data would be useful as the period that data can be employed for publications. However, most participants wanted to preserve data beyond the period that data would be considered useful and it indicates they have no small need for data storage and preservation. Participants usually shared data with those whom they have known, such as a personal research group or a research team. While some completely agree with the principle that publicly-funded data should be open to the public, others partially agreed or disagreed with it. Most participants were concerned about being scooped, plagiarism, and maintaining the first right to publish and incentives to mitigate the concerns would be necessary.
This study aims to compare the retention efficiency of library materials of Automated Storage and Retrieval System(AS/RS) revealed by the literature review to other types of book stacks.
