The Study on the Narrative Project of New Subjectivity and Feminine Subjectivity

이 연구는 1990년대 한국 문학에서 진행된 문학 논쟁들을 통해 새로운 주체성을 위한 기획들이 등장하고 사라지는 역사적 과정을 살펴보고 이를 통해 여성적 주체성을 위한 기획의 의미를 현재적으로 살펴보는 것을 목표로 한다. 지난 십 년 간 차이의 이름으로 등장한 새로운 주체성의 기획들은 근대성의 패러다임을 비판적으로 재 구축하는 것을 목표로 하였다. 또한 여성적 주체성을 위한 기획들 역시 여성작가들의 대거 등장이라는 표면적 요인뿐 아니라 이러한 새로운 주체성을 위한 기획들의 한 흐름 속에서 살펴보아야만 그 의미를 정당하게 살펴볼 수 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 먼저 민족 문학론 비판과 신세대론, 동아시아 담론등 새로운 주체성을 위한 기획들의 흐름을 살펴보고 그 연장선에서 여성적 주체성의 서사들의 변화와 새로운 시도들을 고찰하였다. 이 과정에서 근대적인 자기 동일성의 서사와는 다른 방식의 차이의 서사들이 구축되는 면모를 통해 새로운 차이의 서사의 가능성을 탐색하였다. 또한 이를 통해 서로의 서사라는 새로운 차이의 윤리학을 구성할 수 있는 서사의 형식을 제기하였다.

Abstract

This study focuses on emerging the new subjectivity in 1990's Korean literature. Rise and fall of new subjectivity in 1990's is a barometer of the success and failure of deconstructing modern subjectivity. Debate about 'New generation', 'The East asian', 'politics of difference' is the symptom of project of new subjectivity. So called women writer's novels which becomes the main stream in Korean literature, are the productions of this new project. Thus this study aim for historical approach about this project of new subjectivity. And this study elaborates new change of the narrative of feminine subjectivity. In this acting, I explore the narrative of difference which is different from modern narrative of self-identity. This reveals the possibility of new narrative. The new narrative of difference is also the ethics of differece. In conclusion, this study reached that new subjectivity in 1990's Korean literature was emerging from new feminine subjectivity and the narrative of difference.
