A study on "Hu Il Dam" of Gong, Ji-Young

This paper is for the charactics of Gong's "Hu Il Dam"("Hu Il Dam" meams a story related to certain subsequent events) and the process to get over the Gong's immuture style of it". Gong is one of the novelists who makes it. The reasons she write the stories are that she wants both to presever 1980's and and to make the practical conerstone for passing the disgusting 1980's. However, Her romantic diagram of "Hu Il Dam" makes it impossible to preseve the past and analyze the present. The romantic recognition of the world distort both the past and the present. In our beautiful time, she frees herself from the romantic diagram which characterize her novels, "Hu Il Dam". The key point in her novels is "solidarity through difference". The "solidarity through difference" for Gong comes to an moment to link between 1980's and 1990's as dialetic. The branch of Gong's new practic is in germination. It is, however, certain that through our beautiful time, she escapes a swamp of "Hu Il Dam".
