A review of selected violence prevention programs in the schools

최근 왕따를 포함한 학교 폭력은 심각한 사회문제로 부상되었으나, 이에 관한 대처, 특히 예방적 차원에서의 대처는 극히 부족한 실정이다. 학교폭력 예방프로그램을 개발하기 위한 그 예비단계로 본 연구에서는 외국의 프로그램을 살펴보았다. 학교차원에서 실시되는 1차 예방 프로그램 중심으로 그 내용과 특성들에 관해 설명하고 현재 여러 나라에서 실시되고 있는 따돌림(왕따) 프로그램들을 소개하였다. 이에 근거하여 학교폭력을 예방하는 한국형 프로그램의 개발이 요구된다.

Abstract

Violence in the schools including bullying("Wang-Ta") has become a serious social issue in Korea. As preliminary one this paper explained the selected violence programs of primary and secondary prevention. These were school-based one in elementary, middle and high school. Programs of bullying also were introduced. On the basis of this review the Korean prevention program was being developed. The implications and suggestions for future studies were discussed.
